1.- HISTORY OF TECHNOLOGY

It is vey difficult to define what Technology is. We know that it helps us to adapt to our enviroment and overcome our limints. However is difficult to define. Although we can define well what Technology is, we know its role during the history. Because of this we are going to analyze its role and importance during the developtment of our society. 6.- ARDUINO PRACICES

We should do some practices with ARDUINO board. It is true that as programming language ARDUINO is very dificult. This is the reason why we are going to use bitbloq that is very similar to SCRATCH and it let us to learn also ARDUINO language. This video shows three practicises and how you can do in bitblog. 5.- ARDUINO BOARD

ARDUINO, is not just a controller card, it is an open hardware electronic platform for the creation of prototypes. It allows connecting both analog and digital sensors and actuators, both analog and digital. This is the link ARDUINO The appearance of an ARDUINO ONE card (the most used) is the following: The fundamental part is the ATMMega328 microprocessor. But it also has 6 analog inputs and 14 digital inputs / outputs. 2 power pins (5 and 3.3 V) a reset button and the probability of external power or USB port. Each contact provides 40 mA maximum and we can connect circuits using Shield or Protoboard plates.              The BQ company has used this controller card as a base and, by making some changes, has created its own BQ ZUM and FREDUINO control cards. Robots are machine that easies our live. We have create to do monotonous and danger task such as paint or explorer a planet. However they never will reach the human conditions. 3.- COLLECTING APPLES

2.- SCRATCH INTRODUCTION

A program is simply a set of commands (actions, simple tasks) ordered in a certain sequence to achieve a certain action. Therefore, it is possible to create a programming based on mechanical elements that can be transformed into a program that can be understood by a computer or not.          The human being has been able to overcome his own limitations because of his ability to use tools. The tools have allowed us to create machines. One of the machines that has given us a greater advance has been the computer. The computers have two main systems the hardware (physical system) and software. The hardware is electronic type and is only sensitive to step or not current. 5.- PROTOBOARD AND POLIMETER

WE USE CIRCUIT IN OUR PROJECTS, SO WE NEED TO BE SURE ABOUT THEM. THIS IS THE MAIN REASON WHY WE TEST THEM BEFORE USING IN THE PROJECT. FOR THIS PURPOUSE WE USE THE PROTOBOARD. AND TO MEASURE VOLTAGES AND CURRENT WE USE THE POLIMETER. 4.- ELECTRIC MACHINES

We use electric energy because is easy to  produce and to transport. However it has to be transform into others types of energy. To do this we use the electric machines. It is necesary that we know how they works its parts and the science principles of them. this video shows this things. 3.- ELECTRIC ELEMENTS

We can design electric circuit by using the Cocodrile, however we need to build them phically by using the components. It is very important, indeed, to know the components theirs symbols and its function in a circuit to build our circuit. The first element are resistors and their colour code. In this video is explained the most important elements, their symbols and their funtions in a circuit. ACTIVITIES 1.- Do a search on the Internet and with this information do a report in a slide  2.- Desing and build a circuit capable of make work a buzz or a bulb by using a two ways switch. 2.- SERIE AND PARALLEL CONECTION

We Know the main characterists to these types of conection, however, in this post, we are going to do calculate of the current  and voltage of ecah element. ACTIVITIES.  If you have a battery of 24 V and two resistances of 200 and 300 Ω  a) You should do a serie conection 1.- Draw the circuit 2.- Calculate the equivalent resistance 3.- The total current and the current in each resistance 4.- The total voltage and the voltage in each resistance b) Repeat with a parallel  conecrtion

1.- INTRODUCTION

The course before, you studied electricity. This year you will study deeply this contents. This is the main reason why you should review it very carefully to remeber it, otherwise you will not understand electrical circuits of this year. I have summarized them in this video. ACTIVITIES 1.- Use Cocodrile Clips programe to simulate simple circuits. 2.- If you have a 5 V battery and a buckle whose resistance is 1 K, what is the intensity of the circuit? HOMEWORK 1.- Design a circuit that consists of a battery, switches, commutators or relays, two bulbs and a motor. 2.- How would you integrate this circuit to your project? 5.- MOTIONS CONVERSTION MECHANISIM

And finally, we are going to study a set of mechanisms which very often convert the rotation motion to linear motion. Rack and pinion, cranck and slider and finally cams are the most important of them. I have sumarizied them in this video. A pulley is a wheel with a grooved rim. It uses to lift heavy loads. They could be fixed o Moveable pulleys. A set of moveable pulley is a hoist. They maight be trocho or sieze. 4.- GEARS AND BELTS

Rotary motion is one of the most common types of motion in machines because it is the movement created by motors.. Rotary transmision mechanims transfer these motions from the driver shaft to the driven shaft. In this viedo you can learn the main concepts of these types of mechanims. ACTIVITIES 1.- Calculate the output speed of a friction wheel transmission system if the first wheel has a diameter os 10 cm, rotates ar 10 rpm and the transmission ratio is 5. Idicate whether the mechanism is a speed reducer and if the second wheel is bigger or smaller. 2.- Study the gear train in the figure. Calculate the output speed of transmission system, given that wheel A rotates at 600 rpm. The number of teeth on each wheel is idicatated in the figure. HOMEWORK Sumarize the lesson

2.- LEVERS

A lever is a simple machine which has a rigid bar. This bar can pivot on a point of support calls fulcrum. It its used to lift load by applying force to a point on the bar. The applied force calls efford, whereas the load to be lifted is resistance. The law of lever, which is a consecuence of dynamic equilibriul is E * Ae = R * Ar. The grater distance between the applied force and the fulcrum, the less efford. This video shows what you must learn about levers. 4.- TOOLS AND TASKS

Technology creates new devices and tools. This process needs raw materials to be tranformed into this new devices, and also needs energy (inputs). The result (outputs) are products and rubish that, sometimes, can be recycling. This video shows the technics to give shape to the parts of the objects, joint method and finishing. To make our projects, we need materials. A goog choice of materials is important to be succesful in the implementation of our project. This is the main reason why we need to study materials and their properties. In this video the main contents are explained. 4.- ISOMETRIC PERSPECTIVE

Isometric perspective is very useful because it seems that the objects have 3 dimensions, however y more complicates to draw. You need special paper and the square and bevel to draw the axis and angles of 120º. This viedo shows how you can transform from the European System into Isometric perspective. There isn't any recipie. It depends of you and also the figure you want to draw. ACTIVITIES 1.- Draw the isometric of the followin figures. It is a tutorial to understand how you can represent a object in EUROPEAN SYSTEM. As the sound is bad quality I`ll explain in class, however it maight be usefull to repeat at home. We start this course explaining graphic communication which is very importan to design new objects. Although computers have changed the way of desinging and the tools for it, I strongly believe that pencil and papel are still necesary to draw.
